Outside Worship Service Peace will be holding an outside service on Sunday, September 27th at 6:00 p.m. on the east lawn. Protocols for holding the service is as follows:
Bring your own chairs. (If you are unable to bring a chair call the church and let Tammy know (509) 697-4353).
-Wear a mask at all times. (Gloves are optional.)
-Sit 6 feet apart.
-Family groups can sit together.
-Enter the lawn through the two outside gates. (People will only be allowed inside the church if it is an emergency.)
-Sign-in upon entry to yard.
Also, dress for the weather. At this time, communion will be with Pastor by appointment only and not during services (just call the office and schedule a day & time). The service will still be sent out by email and “snail” mail.

Holy Communion Pastor would like to make private communion available to you if that is your wish. Pastor can have communion with your household privately in his office or in the sanctuary at the church. He is available on Monday and Thursday. We will wear masks and go through the homebound communion service. Simply call Tammy Peterson (509) 697-4353 and she will schedule a time that is convenient for you.
Bethlehm to hold indoor services Beginning September 20th Bethlehem will hold indoor services at 11 a.m. on Sundays. Protocols will be posted. Entrance is only through the parking lot door, hymns will be recorded, seating will be six feet apart, communion will be served as people exit the sanctuary. This service is open to Members of Peace who wish to join with Bethlehem for Worship. Please register if you plan to attend as there is a limit of 50 people. Call Doris 509-457-5822.
Pastor’s New Bible Class Pastor will start a new Bible Class on October 14, entitled “Heaven and Hell.” This will be an in-person bible class. We will meet at Bethlehem at 11 a.m. on Wednesday morning and Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m. at Peace. Copies of the Bible Study are available for $5.00 at the church office.
Donations for Cobian Family Donations for the Cobian Family are still being taken to help pay for their new HVAC system. There is a GoFundMe account still open for them if anyone wants to make donations that way. Peace members can send or drop off donations with their offering (just mark “Cobian Family”). They still need approximately $4,000. If you have any questions please contact Sara Bicsak.
Men’s Night Out! Hey, Hey, Hey, men of Peace, “Men’s Night Out” is back so don’t be left out! We’ll meet Monday, Oct. 19th at 6:00 p.m. at Tailgaters Bar & Grill in Selah. We can only sit 5 men per table so please call Ralph at 469-2956 to let him know if you plan on being there. Thanks much and let’s make for a big turnout!
October Messenger The October Messenger and calendar are ready! If you would like a paper copy you can pick one up at the church.
Portals of Prayer The new Portals of Prayer devotionals are here. You can find them in the Narthex or the Fellowship Hall.
Shoebox Shortage The Shoebox Ladies are in desperate need of shoeboxes! If you have any lying around please consider donating them to the Shoebox Ministry (or get out there and buy new shoes so we can have the boxes!)
Recycling Elaine Smith is still picking up recycling from the church. If you have old newspapers, cardboard or clean aluminum cans that need recycled, you can drop them off outside the back door of the church (by the patio). PLEASE--Do Not leave your recycle in front of the gas meter!
Thank you to Our Members We would like to thank you for mailing in or dropping off your offerings to the church during this time of closure. Your support is greatly appreciated. (We have a locking mailbox so anything dropped off in the box will be secure.)
Prayer Requests If you have a prayer for someone that you would like to pass through the Prayer List, call 697-8669 and our prayer coordinator will take care of it from there!
Lutheran Hour Ministry speaker, Dr. Michael Zeigler, gives his broadcast each Sunday morning on The Lutheran Hour Broadcasts. You can listen by tuning in your radio at 7 a.m. on 91.5 FM and at 8 a.m. on 930 AM. You can also go to lhm.org and listen on your computer to present and past broadcasts.
